Silent disco hire in the UK in 2026 starts at £195 for a hen-party kit of 20 headphones and runs up to £480 for a 75-headphone wedding Premium Plus package with VIP branded headsets. The price depends on three things: the number of headphones, what’s bundled with them (lights, music tablets, photo booths), and whether the event needs anything custom. This guide breaks each of those down so you can see exactly where your money goes.

What you’re actually paying for

A silent disco hire fee typically covers:

  • Headphones — the main line item. Volume controlled per user, LED-coloured by channel, up to 10-hour battery life.
  • Transmitters — 3 per booking, giving you 3 simultaneous music channels.
  • Free UK mainland delivery & collection — tracked courier, equipment arrives fully charged the working day before your event, in lockable crates.
  • Disco lights and 100 glow sticks (most packages).
  • Pre-loaded music tablets (Party and Corporate packages) with ready-to-go playlists.
  • BACS invoicing (Corporate package).

Everything above is included in the headline price. No surprise add-ons at checkout.

What is not included — and what it costs if you want it

  • Branded headphones with your logo — available on Premium Plus, or as an add-on to any package. Pricing on request; minimum lead time 2 weeks.
  • Photo booth — included in Premium Plus, available as an add-on to other packages.
  • Smoke machine & extra disco lights — bundled in Premium Plus; available on the Extras page for other packages.
  • Additional headphones above package size — we hold 5,000+ in stock, so a 100-guest booking can scale to 200 without a pricing surprise.
  • Bluetooth transmitter for DJ decks — included on all packages (no extra fee).

Events over 100 guests — custom pricing

For weddings, corporate Christmas parties and conferences above 100 guests, we price custom. It’s usually more cost-effective than stacking two packages together and includes everything in the Corporate tier plus any add-ons you need (branding, VIP headphones, multiple transmitter zones). How silent disco pricing compares to a DJ or band

For a straight comparison, a typical UK wedding DJ costs £400–£900 for a single-event evening set, and a 4-piece wedding band runs £1,400–£3,000. A silent disco at £280–£480 sits well below either, and still works where the venue has a sound curfew that a PA-based DJ couldn’t. See our full silent disco vs DJ cost comparison for the detailed breakdown.

Deposit, payment terms and cancellation

At checkout you can pay in full or pay a 50% deposit; if you take the deposit option, the balance is due 3 weeks before your event. Corporate clients with agreed credit terms are invoiced via BACS with payment due within 7 days of invoice. Cancellation terms differ between personal and corporate hires — see our personal hire terms and corporate hire terms for the exact refund schedule, or our contract guide for a plain-English walkthrough.

Cost FAQs

Quick answers on pricing, deposits and what’s actually included.

Are there hidden costs with silent disco hire in the UK?

No. The headline package price covers the equipment, free UK mainland delivery and collection, and fully-charged batteries. Optional extras (branded headphones, photo booth, extra smoke machines) are clearly listed on the extras page at their own prices. We don’t charge weekend surcharges, regional delivery fees or fuel levies.

How much deposit do I pay to book?

You can pay in full or pay a 50% deposit at checkout. If you pay the deposit, the balance is due 3 weeks before your event. Corporate clients with agreed credit terms are invoiced via BACS with payment due within 7 days of invoice.

Can I add more headphones closer to the event?

Yes, subject to stock availability — we hold over 5,000 headphones across our fleet, so availability is usually not an issue. Extra units are priced per headphone rather than as a whole new package, so topping up late-joining guests is typically cheaper than upgrading tier.

Is delivery really free across the UK?

Yes — free tracked courier delivery is included on every package to any UK mainland address (England, Scotland and Wales). We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Do you charge more for weekend or evening events?

No. The package price is the same whether your event is a Tuesday-afternoon school disco or a Saturday-night wedding. We don’t operate weekend surcharges, late-night fees or seasonal premiums.
